Sintra y Evora

Our final days in Portugal were magnificent. Our day trip to the magical town of Sintra was one of our favorite places that we visited. The Pena Palace, resembling a fairytale castle, was spectacular. Built in 1840, the palace comprises two wings that showcase a mix of architectural styles, including Medieval, Gothic, Moorish, and Renaissance. It features castle walls, gateways, a drawbridge, towers, terraces, and gargoyles. Truly an incredible experience!

The beach was also a huge hit! The water was perfect, and the views were amazing. We also celebrated Jacob’s birthday here in Portugal! The big 18! A birthday he will never forget.

Our last stop in Portugal was Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We visited The Igreja de São Francisco that features Gothic architecture along with the skeleton-adorned Chapel of Bones! So many bones!!! The Roman Temple was also interesting. It’s over 2,000 years old!!!

So excited to see what else we will experience in Cáceres! Tchau!
